Wright & Talisman assisted Saguaro Connector Pipeline L.L.C. (Saguaro) in obtaining from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) a Presidential Permit and authorization under section 3 of the Natural Gas Act to construct and operate facilities at the US-Mexico border to export natural gas. Our representation of Saguaro included all facets of the FERC proceeding, in which our client faced opposition from Sierra Club and Public Citizen. Saguaro’s Presidential Permit for greenfield facilities, which is the first such permit FERC has issued in nearly seven years, covers facilities designed, in part, to support a liquid natural gas export terminal to be sited in Mexico.
