DESCRIPTIVE BIO
Mr. Waikart represents and counsels energy clients in a broad range of matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). On the electricity side, clients include investor-owned public utilities and independent transmission companies and investors. He represents these clients on issues involving rates and tariffs, administrative litigation and related court appeals, and provides counseling on regulatory compliance and transactional matters. Mr. Waikart also advises clients in all segments of the natural gas industry, including local distribution companies, on rate, tariff, certificate and other issues before the FERC.
EDUCATION
Mr. Waikart received his Bachelor of Arts degree, with high honors, from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1975 and his law degree, with honors, from The George Washington University in Washington, DC in 1978.
