Andrew T. Swers
Counsel

DESCRIPTIVE BIO
Mr. Swers joined Wright & Talisman in 2004. His practice focuses on representation of electric, oil, and natural gas clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and state public utility commissions, as well as the federal courts. His experience encompasses a broad array of issues involving electric utilities, regional transmission organizations, and gas and oil pipelines, including tariff and rate issues, rulemakings, and certificate matters. He has participated in all phases of litigation of major rate and certificate matters before the FERC, state authorities, and federal courts of appeal. Prior to joining Wright & Talisman, he was an associate in the Energy, Land Use, and Environment section of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP.

EDUCATION
Mr. Swers earned his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1996, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He received his B.A., with general honors, from The Johns Hopkins University in 1995, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa .

BAR/COURT ADMISSIONS
Mr. Swers is a member of the New York State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.  He is also a member of the Energy Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
