DESCRIPTIVE BIO
Mr. Shaffer's practice primarily involves the representation of electric and natural gas clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, other federal agencies, and the federal courts. This representation includes work on electric tariff implementation and compliance matters as well as natural gas rate and certificate matters. Mr. Shaffer has also represented environmental clients on matters arising under the Clean Water Act.

EDUCATION
Mr. Shaffer received his law degree, cum laude, from the American University Washington College of Law in 1996 and received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin in 1989.
