DESCRIPTIVE BIO
Jeffrey Price’s practice has primarily involved the area of electric utility regulation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, including advising clients on a wide range of tariff and regulatory compliance matters. He has specific expertise with regard to transmission tariffs and generation interconnection matters (as well as other tariff matters). Much of his practice involves representation of a major Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) in a broad array of regulatory matters, including the provision of independent contract services, open access transmission tariff issues, state and federal policy initiatives, and NERC compliance related issues. Jeff has also been involved in various gas pipeline rate issues as well as various commercial and regulatory matters such as acquisition of transmission assets, environmental approvals, and contract disputes.

Prior to joining Wright and Talisman, Jeff worked in the electric utility industry in various roles including operations engineering, transmission planning, regulatory policy and regulatory case management. He has experience in a range of power engineering areas including power flow modeling techniques and software, real time transmission system analysis, state estimation and reliability operations. He has successfully completed multiple certification classes for the use of powerflow programs such as PSS/E and MUST and has also received certification by the North American Reliability Council in Systems Operations. In addition to his technical knowledge, he has been extensively involved in regulatory policy issues, transmission tariff interpretation, and reliability standards compliance.

EDUCATION
Jeff earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering, cum laude, from Louisiana Tech University, and his J.D., with honors, from the William H. Bowen School of Law, University of Arkansas-Little Rock, where he was an associate editor for the UALR Law Review.

Jeff is a member of the Arkansas Bar, District of Columbia Bar, and the Louisiana Bar and is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Jeff is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Arkansas Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association and the Energy Bar Association.
